Barbara Crispina Rivero-Pelayo

My first dedication is to my grandmother Ms. Barbara Crispina Rivero-Pelayo. Daughter of Jose & Emelia Canto-Rivero, Born in Belize on December 4, 1920. Widow of Pedro Pelayo. She has a family of 12 children. Lydia Pelayo-Nicholson, Jorge Pelayo, Pedro Pelayo II, Linda Pelayo-Soberanis, Jose Alfonso Rivero-Pelayo, Glenda Pelayo-Gabourel, Loreto Orlando Pelayo, Dolores Pelayo-Ramirez, Lourdes Pelayo-McPherson, Sylvia Pelayo-Nicholson, Augustine Pelayo & Brenda Ramirez-Nicholson. Migrated to California to provide a better life for her children.
She is known to the belizean community as Ms. Pina. I remember when I was a child and use to go to her home she would have a long line of friends and visitors all the time. People would line up to have Ms. Pina read the cards to them. She loved to socialize with her family & friends and enjoyed dancing.

She has a big heart and always tries to help others in anyway that she can. She has brought into this world a big, strong, beautiful and loving family that loves and cares for her so much.  I can truly say that I am proud to be a part of her family. She has taught her kids to stick together throughout the good and bad. Even though she didn't have much money she managed to teach the kids to live happy with what God has blessed them with and she lives a humble life. All of her kids have grown up to be good citizens that has always giving back to their belizean community. She has the support of all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids and we all know the meaning of true family values.
